How do I know when I need a new boiler?

A combi boiler carries out a combination of both heating and mains pressure fed hot water from one unit, with no additional tanks or cylinders needed.
Because of their compact size they are perfectly suited for Flats or houses with 1 bathroom.
Perfect for houses with more than 1 bathroom with space for a hot water cylinder.
A system boiler heats water which is then directed via external valves to the radiators and hot water cylinder.
This is a pressurised system so there is no need for feed or expansion tank in the loft.
The boiler comes with a pump, expansion vessel and pressure relief valve built in which is covered under the manufacturer’s warranty.
System boilers are best suited to houses with more than 1 bathroom and where there is room for a hot water cylinder
Great for large homes.
Also known as regular or conventional boiler. It requires a hot water storage cylinder as the name suggests it only creates the heat, all other components such as pumps and expansion vessels will be installed externally.
It can be pressurised, or gravity fed from tanks
These boilers are ideally suited for larger homes where the internal pump and expansion vessel of a system boiler would not be sufficient

Perfect for houses with multiple bathrooms.
An unvented cylinder is a main fed pressurised cylinder heated by your boiler or another heat source
It gives you mains pressure hot water allowing you to run more than one bath/shower at once with a minimal amount of pressure loss.
They are typically heated by system boilers, but you can be connected to heat only boilers as well.
